About the Service
CarroClave is an online service that allows you to check the complete history of vehicles imported from the United States using the VIN number. You'll get accident reports, title status, verified mileage, and more.
A complete report includes accident history, title status (clean, salvage, rebuilt), verified odometer readings, theft records, pending recalls, and ownership history.
We obtain data directly from the official NHTSA database of the U.S. government, auction records, and state title databases.
The basic NHTSA lookup is completely free. For the full history including accidents, titles, and verified mileage, we offer reports starting at L 299.
After completing your purchase, you receive the report instantly via email or WhatsApp, according to your preference. The report will be available in your account indefinitely.
About VIN
A VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is a unique 17-character code that identifies each vehicle. You can find it on the driver-side dashboard, on the door jamb sticker, on the vehicle title, or on insurance documents.
Currently we only accept VIN numbers for lookups. Honduran license plates are not linked to U.S. vehicle history records.
If the VIN returns no results, it may mean the vehicle was not manufactured for the U.S. market or the number entered is incorrect. Verify all 17 characters and try again.
Imported Vehicles
Yes, CarroClave is specifically designed for vehicles imported from the United States. Our reports cover the entire vehicle history while it was registered in the U.S.
Yes, our complete report includes the vehicle's title status, including whether it has a salvage, rebuilt, flood, or junk brand.
Our report shows odometer readings recorded at different times. If there are inconsistencies or reductions in mileage, it's a sign of possible fraud.
A rebuilt title is issued when a vehicle that was declared a total loss has been repaired and passed a state safety inspection. Although repaired, it indicates significant prior damage.

Yes, you need an account to purchase and access your reports. You can create an account quickly using Google or WhatsApp.
We accept international credit and debit cards. We will be adding more local payment options soon.
If our report cannot provide meaningful information about the vehicle, we offer a full refund or a credit for another lookup.
